But what is Handlettering?
It basically means, to write quotes out beautifully. There are a thousand ways to do it, so there is no right way to do it. Here are some examples of my work:

But how to start, if you want to give it a try? As already said, there is no right way, but here is the way that I handletter:
Let's get into detail on how and where you will find inspiration. The quotes I draw are almost always out of books that I have read. While reading I have a pen in reach, whenever a quote catches my attention, I will mark it. Goodreads has an awesome page where you can search for quotes. Otherwise Pinterest is also a good source.
Deciding on a font is also not as simple. There are thousands to choose from. Again Pinterest is a place to look for inspiration or DaFont.
Then there are the references. I usually will just use Google for that.
